Help West Marin become an International Dark Sky Reserve

Dark Sky Point Reyes is a West Marin collaborative project fostered by the Point Reyes National Seashore, Marin County Supervisor Dennis Rodoni, and the surrounding communities PRNS to preserve the night skyscape in this beautiful and environmentally diverse area in perpetuity.

Sky Preservation Work

Each month, in concert with the Point Reyes National Seashore, the Point Reyes Station Village Association presents a benefit stargazing event to support its work to preserve the coastal nightscape. Sky preservation work includes efforts for all of West Marin to:

  • help property/business owners or managers lessen light pollution and trespass
  • qualify this area as an International Dark Sky Reserve
  • update Marin County Lighting regulations
